Communion Service

During December there will be no evening services and Communion will be held in the morning at 10am. There will be no communion on 22nd when the Sunday Club takes the Sunday service.

This is an important service for Christians, where we remember the significance of Jesus’ death as a sacrifice for our sin. We welcome all who have come to personal faith in the Lord Jesus and who want to obey Him to participate in this service.

The observance of communion was established by Jesus at the Last Supper:

And he took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, “This is my body given for you; do this in remembrance of me." Luke 22:19

As we take the bread, we remember the body of Christ that is broken for us.

In the same way, after the supper he took the cup, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you.” Luke 22:20

As we drink the cup, we remember the blood that Jesus shed on the cross – the giving of his life so that we can receive forgiveness for our sins.
