Psalm 119. v 105. ‘Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.’
Sunday Club @ WWH is for all children age 3-12. The children are taught many Bible stories that are applied to their lives. We primarily use the Go Teach resources (www.goteach.org.uk). This allows all age groups to learn the same part of scripture but in an age appropriate group lesson. We feel it is vital that the children have a simple ‘take home’ message from each lesson.
To encourage this we focus on memory verses from the Bible. The Bible teaches in Psalm 119 that God’s word (the Bible) is a light for us. It helps us in our daily lives and teaches us of God’s love and care. Dedicating verses to memory allows the children to have God’s word with them always.
Singing is becoming an ever more enjoyable part of our Sunday mornings as the children learn a variety of old and new Christian songs. They each have their favourite! Again learning through song is an excellent way for the children to remember the Bible’s teaching.
